Time for New Drums?

Updated: Apr 25, 2020

So, I've been visiting with this incredibly beautiful drum kit online for the past few weeks/months and I sort of feel attached to it already.

It's an interesting problem. I seem to have BIG drums, BIGGER drums and small drums. I have a need for a medium-sized, all purpose drum kit that could cover jazz gigs and other gigs at smaller venues. The problem is that I don't tend to buy equipment very often and I'm just not sure what to buy. I have trouble making decisions anyway, but I'm looking at these:

Here's the link to Canopus drum site: https://canopusdrums.com/en/product/rfm-series/

I think this kit is absolutely beautiful and they probably sound great. From the photo they seem just a tad smaller than I would prefer, but I think they'll work for most smaller or medium sized rooms. I'll have to travel to the Drum Center of Portsmouth, North Hampton, NH, to see them in person, so I'm trying to figure out a way to make that happen while working full-time and with the current travel restrictions. BTW, the photos of the drums are from the Drum Center of Portsmouth too.

I'm kinda partial to the natural wood so the color/finish will be very close to the same as I have with my BIG and BIGGER drum kits. I suppose that's not very creative but let me know what you think about the drums. I think you can sign up at the bottom of the page and share your comments.

If you enjoyed this little post and would like to see more, please let me know. My email is below if you'd like to send me a note.

Stay safe, everyone! 😷
